SINGAPORE BOATING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION

Regional Knowledge & Industry Support

The Singapore Boating Industry Association (SBIA) provides members with access to a growing library of resources drawn from across the industry. These materials support our mission to connect, inform, and strengthen the recreational marine and nautical tourism industry in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Our resources are regularly updated and include reports, policy references, training materials, and regional best practices shared by our affiliate associations and partners.

If you are a SBIA member and would like access to the follow resources simply email the request to secretariat@singaporeboating.org

ICOMIA Resource Library

As a member of ICOMIA, SBIA members have access to a comprehensive collection of global marine industry data, technical reports, and environmental best practices compiled by ICOMIA. Members can explore studies on marina standards, sustainability, superyachts, costings and market performance across international markets.

ICOMIA Pathways in Asia

The ICOMIA Pathways in Asia report presents a detailed study of the recreational marine landscape across Asia, mapping out current capacities, policy environments, and growth potential for national boating industries. It includes comparative data on marina infrastructure, fleet composition, workforce skills, and regulatory maturity across key markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China.

The report also outlines “pathways” for regional collaboration — including shared training standards, environmental best practices, and joint event promotion — designed to accelerate sustainable industry growth. SBIA contributes to this initiative through its own cluster framework, ensuring Singapore’s marine sector remains an active participant in regional policy dialogue and data collection.

APSA Guide

A definitive resource for superyacht owners, captains, and agents navigating the Asia-Pacific. It provides up-to-date listings of marinas, refit yards, agents, and service providers across more than 20 regional destinations — including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Maldives.

For Singapore, the guide features:

  • Major marina facilities such as ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Raffles Marina, and Marina at Keppel Bay.

  • Superyacht agents and service providers supporting visiting yachts, provisioning, and crew logistics.

  • Key entry procedures, port formalities, and contact details for clearance and berthing.

SBIA contributes information to APSA’s Singapore listings and helps ensure the country’s facilities and services are accurately represented to the international yachting community.

Superyacht Times Asia-Pacific Superyacht Report

An annual publication providing detailed analysis of superyacht movements, market trends, and fleet growth in the Asia-Pacific. The report is a key benchmark for understanding regional demand, new builds, and destination development.

2018 Singapore Blue Plan

Developed by marine scientists and environmental organisations, the Blue Plan presents a strategic framework for conserving Singapore’s marine and coastal biodiversity. It outlines recommendations for sustainable development, marine protection, and responsible recreational use of Singapore’s waters.
