SBIA Superyacht Sector

The SBIA Superyacht Sector brings together shipyards, marine service providers, suppliers and advisors who support the global superyacht fleet.

Chaired by SBIA General Committee member Simone Centola, the sector focuses on strengthening Singapore’s position as a regional centre for superyacht refit, repair, technology upgrades and specialised marine services.

Singapore offers a unique combination of engineering expertise, world-class logistics and regulatory certainty. These strengths make the city-state an ideal operational base for yachts cruising Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

As the number of superyachts operating in Asia continues to grow, Singapore has a clear opportunity to capture a greater share of technical services, project management, supply chain support and crew logistics.

Why It Matters

Superyachts visiting Singapore generate significant economic activity across the marine ecosystem.

Visiting yachts between 50–100 metres typically stay for one to three months, with each visit generating substantial spending on engineering work, technical services, provisioning, logistics, hospitality and professional services.

Singapore already supports a growing number of resident and visiting yachts, with berthing options at marinas including ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Marina at Keppel Bay, Raffles Marina and the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club, alongside yard facilities and regional capacity in nearby Batam.

For many vessels cruising Southeast Asia, Singapore serves as the region’s operational and service hub.
